Yes, all our remotes are designed with user-replaceable batteries.

Each remote uses a single CR2032 lithium coin battery.

How do I know when to change the battery?

We recommend replacing the battery immediately if you notice any of the following symptoms, to ensure reliable access to your home:

  • Dim LED: The remote's LED light is dim or doesn't light up at all.
  • Reduced Range: The operating range has decreased (you have to be closer to the door).
  • Intermittent Operation: The remote works intermittently or requires multiple presses to activate the door.

How do I change the battery?

Replacement is simple.

We provide step-by-step video instructions on How to change the battery for every remote model.

I just received my new remote, do I need to replace the battery?

No, all our remotes come with a pre-installed battery.

However, in rare cases, if a product has been in storage or transit for an extended period, the battery level may be low.

If your brand-new remote is underperforming, replacing the battery is the best first step in troubleshooting.
