Visor clip¶
Why is the visor clip so tight when new?¶
Our visor clips are intentionally designed with a high tension 'tight fit' when new. This ensures they remain secure over the long term, as all clips tend to loosen slightly with use.
Note: It may require a little extra force to attach the visor clips, especially for the first few uses.
What to do when the visor clip becomes loose and doesn't stay in place?¶
After repeated removal and reattachment, the visor clip may become loose and no longer stay in place as the plastic groove on the back of the remote wears down.
Since our visor clips are made of flexible stainless steel, you can easily fix this issue:
-
Remove the clip from the remote.
-
Locate the mounting tab (the part with 3 holes).
-
Gently bend this tab inward to create a greater curve.
-
Reattach the clip. It should now hold firmly against the remote.
Why this works: Bending the clip increases the spring tension against the groove, compensating for any wear on the plastic.
